About Wishing Well Florist

Hello and welcome to the Wishing Well Florist website. We are Robert and Sonja Anthony. Our family started in the flower business in Flint Michigan in 1929, when our great grandmother Geraldine Anthony opened a small flower stall on a farmers market. We grew into the cities premier florist during the 1930's and 40's when the economy, thanks to the automotive industry, was booming like no other place in the country. In 1941, our grandfather, John Anthony moved to Lansing Michigan to begin his own arm of the flower business. There, he and our grandmother built the finest flower shop in the entire city. They realized great success providing wonderful service and excellent quality product for a number of years. From there, Rick, Robert's father began his own shop in Lansing, eventually expanding it into two shops serving the Lansing market. This is where Rob grew up in the flower business. In about the year 1999 Robert decided that it would be time to move on from outside the family and begin on his own, ironically moving back to the city of Flint. That was in the year 2000. Shortly thereafter, the tragedy of September 11th occurred, completely taking legs out of the American economy. Unfortunately, the State of Michigan economy has never recovered from that. Because of this, in the year 2005, we decided, for our children's future that it was time to take our venture to where the people were going. Florida was our choice. After much study, we determined that Central Florida, with it's rapid expansion, and influx of people was a great place to be. It was at this point in our lives, the end of 2005, that we decided to purchase the Wishing Well Florist. We are proud to boast that we are one of few florists in the nation whose length of time in business expands over 4 generations, with our children coming into the business, it will mark 5 generations of florists. To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season,place your order at least 24 hours prior to the following major holidays:Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Our shop will always be closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

A local delivery fee of $8.00 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local delivery area, this fee may vary.)

U.S.orders must be received before 12:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to help assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.

We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at a specific time of day, but we cannot guarantee it.

We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays.Orders requesting delivery on this day will be delivered the following business day.

Deliveries of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed. We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly.We are unable to accept international orders over the internet.

When delivering to businesses, we will make every attempt to get your item directly to the recipient. However, in many larger companies this is not possible and we are forced to leave your item with the receptionist. In that case, the receptionist will sign for the delivery. In the event your delivery is taken to a residence and we find the recipient not at home, we will take the following steps, in this order. 1) We will make every attempt to leave the package with a neighbor on either side of the home or directly across the street. We will then tag the recipient's door to advise them of where the delivery was left. 2) If we can't find a neighbor available, we will, if weather permits leave the package in a safe location at the residence and leave a tag on the door. 3) If neither option 1 or 2 is available, the item will come back to our location, we will attempt to call the recipient and the sender to advise them of the problem and will attempt redelivery when we confirm with the recipient. Regarding deliveries made to resort areas or large complexes where we are unable to deliver item directly to the recipient. These areas are many times guarded by security teams, receptionists, gates, or fences. In the event we attempt to make a delivery to an address you have provided to us and it falls into the category of a place where a receptionist must accept the flowers, please note the following. Once we have delivered to the address and the item has been signed for by the receptionist or security guard on duty at the time, we will not be held liable for the item in the event the customer has provided faulty information. Information being deemed as a bad address, improper phone number, the recipient is no longer at work or in the area, etc;. When delivering to large factories, resorts, hospitals, nursing homes, theme parks, or any other such place, the responsibility falls solely on the customer to provide current and valid information as to the recipients whereabouts. If we are given bad, old, or invalid information, we will not be held responsible for the item delivered once it is out of our custody.

Bad Address Policy
In the event we are provided with an inaccurate address, we will charge a bad address fee. This fee will vary. Simply stated, the fee will be whatever the delivery charge is on your specific item being delivered charged again. Example; Original delivery charge is $9.00. The bad address fee will be and additional $9.00 in order for us to make the delivery attempt again once the address is verified. This will also be applied to any order that we make an attempt to deliver to a business and find the recipient is not in that day.

We guarantee that every order you place with us will be treated with the utmost care and concern. We promise to always use the freshest product available to you. Your purchase will be manufactured with integerity and unparalled craftmanship. You will be treated with respect, dignity, and honor every time you call us. Our job is to continually strive to exceed your expectations, however in the event that a mistake happens, we will make every effort possible to rectify the problem in a timely, efficient manner.
